Purchasing Q & A's

Q: How much does your products cost?

A: A single user licence cost as low as $149.00. There are no royalty fees, so it can be distributed with your applications to as many customers as desired without any additional fees. The purchase include: email support, free minor ugrades and updates for 90 days after the purchase date and free major upgrades released within 30 days after purchase.

Q: Are your products available in the retail channel?

A: No. Currently all our libraries can only be bought direct from this web site or using one of several component resellers. All products are delivered electronically.

Q: What methods of payment are accepted at Lidor Systems?

A: There are several methods of payment accepted at Lidor Systems. For transactions completed through the web site, we accept all major credit cards including MasterCard, EuroCard, Visa, Amex, Diners, Maestro/Switch, Delta and Solo. If you want to send a Bank Transfer please contact as at accounts@lidorsystems.com for our bank details. Also orders can be placed by phone. Call us free of charge from these countries.

Q: Is it safe to purchase online?

A: Purchasing from the Lidor Systems (through our ESD store at ComponentSource) is secure. The online store uses advanced encrypted SSL on every transaction processed, which means that all of your personal information including your credit card details are first encrypted using the HTTPS (secure) protocol before being transmitted to our servers (Please note that if you are using a corporate firewall inside your organization, you will need to ensure that the HTTPS protocol has been enabled).

Q: Is it possible to purchase Lidor Systems products from a reseller or are they only available for direct purchase?

A: Lidor Systems offers several different resellers located all over the world. For more information regarding what resellers are in your area, please visit the Distributors and Resellers page on our web site.

Q: What about taxes?

A: The tax applied to your order may vary according to a number of factors. Find out which rate is applicable to your order.

Q: Where is my serial number? Where are my installation instructions?

A: With your purchase the Download Manager will have placed two files on your PC. The CSSetup.exe which contains the program files and a file called CSReadme.txt, this file will contain the serial numbers that you may need and any additional installation information. Your serial numbers are also saved in your order history. To view your order history, on ComponentSource web site go to "My Account", logon and choose "My Orders" and from there you can view your serial numbers. For any assistance you can also contact our Customer Service Team at service@lidorsystems.com.

Q: I have lost my product, what should I do?

A: We store a backup copy of every product that you buy and download from us. You can always contact us at service@lidorsystems.com, and we will send you a download link for required product version.

Q: How long will my serial number work?

A: Your serial number will be valid for as long as you own the product.

Q: What type of license agreement is offered by Lidor Systems?

A: The legal license agreement offered by Lidor Systems is per developer basis. When deploying your application, you will not be charged any deployment fees. For details regarding the full license agreement, please open the License Agreement page for each product (the link is on each product page, in the side menu) or download the evaluation version of desired product accompanied with the License Agreement.

Q: What is a developer license?

A: A single developer license grants a developer the right to use the purchased product in production applications and to include any files marked as redistributable with their applications.

Q: What is annual subsription?

A: An annual subscription allows a developer to receive free upgrades for a period of one year after purchase. Subscriptions may be renewed annually. Subscriptions should be purchased within 30 days of a developer license/upgrade purchase or the expiration of a previous subscription. Otherwise, an upgrade is required to be purchased along with the annual subscription.

Q: What is a Site Wide license?

A: A Site Wide license is a license that covers all developers at a single physical location for your organization.

Q: What is a Enterprise license?

A: An Enterprise license is a license that covers all developers in your organization, at any location.

Q: Do you charge any run time royalties for your products?

A: There are no Run-Time Royalties charged for the Lidor Systems product. End user applications developed using Lidor Systems products can be distributed as needed and the customer is not charged for additional royalties when distributing the executable.

Q: What files do I need to distribute with my application that uses Lidor Systems's products?

A: In order to deploy your application, you will have to include any files marked as redistributable.

Q: What about upgrades?

A: An upgrade is available to developers who already own a developer license for a product but who want to upgrade to a new version. You are automatically entitled to a free upgrade to any later version of the product, if it's released within 30 days of your purchase. An upgrade should only be purchased if an annual subscription is not owned or an annual subscription has been purchased, but has expired and not renewed.

Q: Do I qualify for a free upgrade?

A: As a general rule, we provide free minor version upgrades for all our products within 90 days of your purchase. These upgrades are free. Also, if you own a developer license for a product, you are automatically entitled to a free upgrade to any later major version of the product, if it's released within 30 days of your purchase.

Q: What type of environment are Lidor Systems' products supported in?

A: Our products are supported in Windows Forms Visual Studio .NET projects. The required environments are Microsoft’s .NET framework versions 1.1 and up. WebForms projects are not supported.

Q: In what programming language are your products written?

A: By default, all our products are written in C#, however they come with examples in VB.NET as well. Nevertheless, you can use any of our products in any project written in any language, supported by the .NET framework.

Q: Is .NET 2.0 supported by your products?

A: Yes, .NET 2.0 is supported.

Q: Does your products support Visual Studio .NET 2008?

A: Yes, Visual Studio 2008 is supported.

Q: Do you provide documentation for your products?

A: Yes. We provide comprehensive help files for each of our products. They come with the default installation and are intended for use by developers. If you have used the EXE file to install our products, the help file will register automatically with VS.NET (if you have it installed) and you will be able to browse the help from the Visual Studio .NET IDE.

Q: What limitations does the evaluation version have?

A: The evaluation version for each product is fully functional. You have full access to all of the features that the product has to offer. The difference between the evaluation and retail version is that the evaluation version displays a banner informing you that you are using the evaluation version. We recommend that you use the evaluation version to ensure that the product meets your development requirements before making the decision to purchase it.

Q: How long does the evaluation version last and can it be extended beyond the initial time allotted?

A: The allotted usage time for the evaluation version of each product is 30 days. We are presently unable to extend trial versions.

Q: Can I receive technical support during my evaluation period?

A: Yes, absolutely. For information about receiving technical support go to www.lidorsystems.com/support.

Q: What happens if I find a ‘bug’ in the software?

A: Please report all problems with the software directly to suggestions@lidorsystems.com . If there is a defect in our software, Lidor Systems will work to provide you with a solution to the problem.

Q: Do you provide source code?

A: Yes. The Source Code is provided with Source Code Blueprint license. Also, in order to receive it, at least 1 Developer License is required.
